Ron Thurlow is a founder member of R, E & L
Thurlow Ltd and currently operates as the Sales and Marketing
Director.
Having a horticultural background which spans the last
50 years Ron is a well known figure in the industry and
respected for his knowledge and experience. He was a member
of the International Plant Propagators Society (IPPS)
for 20 years, serving on the committee for 3 years.
Throughout his career he has travelled extensively across
Europe, sourcing all manner of plant material and has
worked with the University of Wisconsin in America on research into the production of disease resistant elm.
Any enquiries we receive into the office that require plant sourcing will be dealt with personally by Ron. He will use his knowledge and experience to source the best quality plants at the best possible price available at the time, to pass onto you the customer.

Lynne Thurlow is the Financial Director and Company
Secretary. She runs the busy office and looks after the
financial aspects of the business.
Lynne has a lifelong working history in all aspects of office procedure and uses this experience to keep the business running like clockwork. For many years she specialised as a qualified farm secretary, but now plays an active part in the horticultural industry through her work for R, E & L Thurlow Ltd.
An enthusiastic gardener, Lynne travels countrywide to
visit nurseries and attend the main horticultural shows
to advance her horticultural knowledge. She is a member
of the Royal Horticultural Society and the Institute of
Agricultural Secretaries & Administrators.

Steve Thurlow is Ron's son and Lynne's husband. In a big move for R, E & L Thurlow Ltd (and for Steve personally), he has joined the family team as Sales Consultant and Sales Director.
Like Ron he has been involved in horticulture all his working life, learning the trade from the bottom upwards. He was an active member of the IPPS (International Plant Propagation Society) for many years, travelling in Europe attending conferences, visiting Nurseries and learning how plants were grown in different countries. His first 19 years were spent on the production side of the business learning all about propagation, grafting and everything else to do with the growing of plants. For the last 14 years he has been involved in landscaping and also the sales side of the business.
He brings with him a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of horticulture which we can pass on to our customers. There are many people who love plants but are not sure which variety would be the most suitable and Steve is able to discuss this with the customer to ensure they get the best plant to suit its environment.
